Fossil is a 1999 release from the WOTC vintage era, the third set in the Base series that built modern Pokémon TCG from the ground up. It landed when the hobby was exploding, carrying the same production DNA as Unlimited and Shadowless but with its own identity. A 62-card set from the era when print runs were smaller and quality control less consistent than modern production—meaning pack variance was real. This is pure early-era inventory.
