1st Edition

My binders would’ve bought a house and several cars. Had so many 1st edition base, jungle, fossil and rocket. Multiples of them and they didn’t get messed with so the conditions were good to excellent. Mowed lawns in the summer and worked after school during the winter to buy booster packs by the box. They were close to or a little over $100 per box back then. Trying to sell them in 2004 is one of my biggest regrets. I was freshly 18 and too cool to collect them anymore. No one thought they’d be worth shit. Multiple card shops damn near at me. 22 years later and I still wish I would’ve just stashed them and not listened to them. No one back then would’ve ever guessed what they’d be worth today. Fuck me, now I’m mad about it again.

I have that same Ninetails and totally thought it was first edition (though quickly discovered it didn’t have the “first edition emblem thing) 😅 Still, it’s a card I’ve had since I was a kid. Holo Ninetails from ‘95. Little black star in the bottom corner.

I pulled the English Charizard as a kid back in the day, have a psa 9 first edition Japanese also.
